Thanks for this great write up. I have used this same simple method myself.
But, today I am writing to ask if I can store my snowblower in this ‘on the bin’ position for a storage position to save footprint space in my garage?
Is there any harm to the snowblower in doing so?
I too realized this position helps prevent oil from flooding the carb or exhaust, and if the gas is empty then even better.
One thought was that maybe over time the sides of the bin could give under the weight, but is it like standing perfectly ‘squarely’ on a can without crushing it or more like standing on a cinder block?
Any other issues in storing it like this?
